The Manhattan DSR 5500 CI is a very well built quality piece of hardware. The silver casing and design of the receiver is very stylish and remote design is excellent too, with dedicated button's for one touch access to various option's. There are 64 satellite position's preprogrammed in the receiver's memory and there are is a WHOPPING 4500 channel storage capacity !! Searching for channel's is done either automatically or manually and the process is extremely fast and easy, and you can also enter PID's manually or let the manhattan do it for you automatically. When a channel is selected detail of channel information is excellent with a signal strength meter satellite position and a whole feast of other info about the channel apppear's for a few second's. At the back of the receiver there are all the connection's you would expect and need, hidden away on the front panel there are 2 CAM slot's, along with various other emergency button's. Picture quality and sound is superb !
as you would expect from a digital receiver. raphic's are good and the menu option's are vast easy to understand and there are 11 different languages to choose from. My only very minor gripe with this receiver is with the TV and radio channel menu screen, It could have been better. Overall this receiver is absolutely wonderful I have had mine for 3 month's now and I can safely say It is the best digital receiver I have ever had and I can't believe I bought it brand new for |

Jose Mari paid (approx.) €315 for the receiver |
