I would like to upgrade. Motorised with Actuator. Problem. Only Echostar left.Dont like the software. Prefer to store by satellite.Tried Aston Xena 1700, whoops! it only understands DiSeqC ! What is left ? New Manhattan's a bit slow. Would prefer inbuilt CAM plus two slots.

Setting up the Manhattan ST 2000 is like a walk in the park, everyday use is simple and easy for users of every level, there is an LNB loopthrough with which you can use to connect an existing analogue receiver. Searching for channel's is a doddle and I can't stress enough how good the option's are for searching channel's, you can manualy search for channel's and enter PID's manualy, alternatively the Manhattan will do it all for you automatically and believe me when I say It will find a feast load of channel's for you, though the process can take a long time. The favourites menu is good and simple to use, graphic's are OK and easy to understand. The CAM slot's are located at the back which in my opinion is a good thing.
Now unfortunately after a good start here come's the bad news channel switching is slow about (2 second's) which is far too long for me, The remote is of such poor design with button's being far to close to one another leading to pressing button's you did not want to press. The receiver also from time to time has a tendency to to wipe out all the channel name's (buggy software) which means that you have to reinstall all of the channel's to get the names again, which will drive you absolutely crazy. The build quality of the Manhattan is not good and is flimsy. If it wasn't for the problems Ive mentioned, this receiver would have been an excellent machine never mind a, maybe next time for Manhattan....
