19 December - [Press] - Ukrainian National Council for TV and Radio Broadcasting suspends licences of Inter-Sport and Inter-Kino. The channels were required to start satellite broadcast within two months from license issue date but failed to do so.

20 December - [Press] - Canal Plus takes Telenor to Norwegian court of execution over NKR 1.8bn payment Telenor agreed to transfer for full control of scandinavian Canal Digital platform.

28 December - [Own] - Polish telecom body URT issues decision to close Pay TV provider Polsat 2 Cyfrowy. The rulling against Polsat was issued after platform refused to cease illegal and unlicensed distribution of 3 national public channels TVP1, TVP2 and WOT. For the time being Polsat decided to ignore the order and disallow URT commisioners on the premises, however broadcasts of national channels stopped.
30 December - [Press] - British Telecom wants to sell its stake in Eutelsat.
31 December - [Press] - Bertelsmann AG wants to buy Endemol group ("Big Brother" and "Who Wants To Be Millionaire" license owners) off Spanish telco Telefonica.
